e worst day of my workin life in motorola, and the last too!
1sec while i try 2 recall as much as i can bout e events of today... too much has happened.....
lets go chronological shall we...
this mornin i was early enough to catch e bus w/o having to chase after e bus... but when i got to e bus stop, NO ONE was there... for a moment i thought e bus doesn't come on weekends but in a min, e familiar figure of e bus approached and i was quite relieved... later outside e building at bout 6, i met Vino and Gopi who updated me on e wat i missed out e past 2 days... seems tat ppl were to be retrenched... and today's OT was 12HOURS - 6.30 to 6.30... whoa... nvm then... at line 11, we had a hell lotta phones to pack... and e models were e sucky ones - c200s and c205s - e russians again... while i was doing e charger etc and vino was doing manuals, e QA found tat vino had added an extra manual and a missing one... she reported this to jenny, who didn't hesitate to say, "monday onwards u dun have to come"... haiz felt kinda sad for him... i dunno y, but while we were doing e 2nd DJ, i was feeling so damn..., damn.., i dunno how 2 say but at tat time i decided tat i was gonna QUIT!!!! but not yet, mayb bout 2 weeks later... time seemed to crawl then, with jenny coming in and out making us rush... wtf... idiotic b****... arg... as if we were slow lidat... when a speed of 700 an hour is considered fast liao... bloody hell.... i'd like to see HER run e line... last time i saw her fold retail box, she fold until so damn pathetic until my fren who used e box oso say her pathetic... ha! and to think she's worked there longer than almost all of us... HA! ....forget her.... she can make my blood boil.... anw... like i said, time crawled by and we finished DJ after DJ, and finally when 6pm arrived, we had just finshed our 7th or 8th DJ of 700 phones (8X700=?? DO UR MATH!!) n started on another DJ, when jenny called my name out, along with vino and Gopi from my line and we were quite confused and scared, cos we thought we mite b e ones retrenched... she went to most lines, callin out names and when she was done, there was bout 20 of us... e supervisor Sebest then addressed us, "i'm sure many of u have heard tat e company is retrenching ppl....." at tat moment, my worst fears were confirmed.... we were e 1st batch to b retrenched... he mentioned my name once too but i dunno y cos he was almost muttering then... i guess its becos he recognises me... who cares... he went on saying there was to be 50 ppl retrenched in all and we were onli e 1st batch... he also explained tat he does not noe wat e reason was tat we were chosen so we're still guessing y.... when he was done, he thanked us and dismissed us... in my state of devastation, i walked looking calm towards my other frenz who were wondering wat had happened... we explained to them and they were quite shocked and scared too, cos they may be next on e list... i almost couldn't think straight then... we tried to cheer ourselves up with some jokes bout wad we should do to jenny since it was our last day... but in e end didn't do anything..... haiz...... i was thinking: y me? of all ppl, Y ME?? cant they wait juz 11 more days?? crap..... then i tried to think positively... w/o this idiotic job i can concentrate on e church's soccer team! and besides, i would have quit sooner or later! then at tat moment i felt a lil better... Su was quite sad too... haiz... gonna leave all my frenz behind.... oh well... its just a matter of time, and my time has come!...
while i was typing this, SM (e GL) called and told me i didn't have to come on monday onwards, thinking i didn't know cos she dint come today thinking there was no OT today.. crap... adding insult to injury... damn......
looks like i gotta look out for a new job then... best one tat gives leave for sundays... :)
