*[[ ABOUT TIME! ]]*

those who watched the world cup match between italy and australia will know what i'm talking about when they see this! it still pisses me off when i think of it! sigh.

and also about time for an update heh.
it was a week full of birthdays last week and i spent mine watching death note after a great meal at MOF with some classmates.. =D and also in the week we had our band concert camp, in which we had sectionals and orchestra, plus a final run thru of a few songs like romantic charm. but it wasn't all for nothing; i had feedback that our percussion section had improved and so did my snare drum part =D but theres still a long way to go; other songs need improvement too! like my jupiter drums part. =/ anws anyone interested in the concert pls book ur free tickets from me asap. its on 10th nov (fri) at 7.30pm in nyp's auditorium. =D

e hype-up concert on hari raya was e 1st event we were working for indoor stadium and it was so crappy la. only don and drew and electrico were entertaining la. e idols all so boring and lame =/ but damn tired la whole day stand kns. next event will prolly be e notre dame thingy. hmmm.

on another note. ROONEY SCORED A HAT TRICK!! haha! after 8 games of not scoring he finally scored e 1st premiership hattrick and man u thrashed bolton 4-0 xD saha was so unselfish and gave ronaldo a tap-in. anws bolton's sway la, of all days to play man u it had to be that day. haha..

*[[ the after effects of baileys and jack daniels ]]*

just got home from watching soccer and lots of drinking at shaun's place, and MAN U WON LIVERPOOL 2-0! haha that was one helluva exciting match! somehow ferdinand scored against liverpool again, his previous goal being the winner against liverpool in jan! not forgetting scholes playing his 500th game and scoring as well! pity rooney didn't score tho; his bday's on tues, a day before mine. heh. oh well. at least he shaved! LOL.

and the 1st week of school flew past. schoolwork seems okay so far, just that the projects are piling up already. but i'm getting more stressed out from the coming concert. after playing this certain song about a dozen times already, i suddenly find myself under pressure for that same song. argh.. and the additional stress no thanks to that so called SL who HAD to get dennis to make us change the sticking for a part both me and jh were used to already. and that part happens to be quite a fast one so adapting in such a short time is ridiculous! but at least i can finally say i can play pirates fully and properly now that i got a certain part cleared up with e laoshi's pinpointing. but there's still e orchestra songs! GOD! is this gonna be my first and LAST concert? i'm petrified, honestly. screwing up is NOT an option.

*[[ yesterday was friday the 13th?? omg! -.- ]]*

YAY! got home from our "outing" today in time to watch the 2nd half, and apparently a more exciting half, in which man u won 3-1!~ solskjaer, vidic and saha (above) being the goalscorers! =)

well the outing was kinda disappointing; only jh being the latest addition to the group which went tanning. haha.. but still, BILLY BOMBERS ROCKS! haha it's my 2nd time there and still does not disappoint =D too bad i dint think of taking pics otherwise i could continue danial's little food discovery thingy =x

SO IS THERE WORK TML OR NOT??................ arghhhhhhh.

its the last week of the hols!! nuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!! sigh. how the hell did the last 6 weeks pass so fast?.. damn.

still. its true when they say "save the best for last". we're finally gonna have a proper perc outing! yay! i'm glad almost everyone can make it la.. soo looking forward to it! =D

the mini perc outing with shir and jiemin on tues was fun! we dint do much, just tanned and soaked a lil, but nonetheless i definitely enjoyed it.. oh there was this one incident which really got us laughing the whole day, but i'm lazy to type it out since both of them alr did =X so go over their blogs if u wanna know. "F*** U THE F IZZIT?" LOLS~ =X

and i got a lot of ppl to thank recently. haha.
THANKS JIEMIN for lending me goong wahahaha! currently at episode 10 =)
THANKS CHER for passing me ur old notes for my this coming sem! very much appreciated!
THANKS TIM for passing me all e prison break episodes! wahahaha!

*[[ blessing in disguise? ]]*

LOST SEASON 3 IS OUT! and the 1st episode was SO THRILLING! AHHH CAN'T WAIT FOR E NEXT EPISODE! likewise, same goes for PRISON BREAK! haha. shit la i watch too fast now have to wait for the next episode next week..

well. it's prolly my fault, but things have apparently escalated and i've prolly pissed some ppl off. but i'll have to say it might be for the best interests of the band since i can spend more time with my section and in particular, my juniors, so that well, at least they'd stay and in danial's case, join, with the main band and commit for the concert. esp now that our section's been cut down drastically following the "departures" of some old faithful members, we need everyone to stay AND come for pracs.. in fact, that's prolly why the year1s in the other sections never stayed. the seniors dun spend time with them and take them for granted. thankfully i've ensemble sessions in which my section gets to bond, but as for the other sections, i can't say the same. i could actually state this example: when the band president was trying to spend sometime with her section at kfc once, the rest were making a whole lot of noise making her feel guilty for not spending time with THEM instead. that incident really made me think bout it, but i guess it was kept at the back of my mind all this time until now when i just rmbed it.. and for the record, no names are mentioned above, so i'm not pointing fingers.

anws i'm grateful my juniors are actually gonna come for orchestra and the performance tml! my pleas weren't for nth in the end haha.. well hopefully i won't screw up e performance. =/

*[[ 2 more weeks and the gates of hell open ]]*

no i dint mean the seventh month, obviously. timetable for my final semester is out and i'm already dreading it. tues are the worst - 8-5 with a 1 hour break for lunch, and i'll have band at nite, AND i have a tutorial at 8 the next day -.- with 8 modules, HOW AM I GONNA SURVIVE?! jia lat. now i understand why ian decided to drop out. sigh.

we had our first ensemble with dennis today and i think it was awesome! definitely the right choice to replace isk. and he's somewhat more organised i think. he actually set aside sometime for theory, which, i seriously suck at. so what we did was to clap while counting! sounds easy? with a metronome, and having to squint at the book dennis was holding up, and having to count aloud while clapping, it was kinda hard for me haha. and i think his exercise was more strenuous so this would be more helpful in training my left arm which is really weak. anws i'm glad he actually got arnd reassigning some of the parts cos this helped to encourage ppl like danial to come for prac..

tml's gonna be quite a crazy day. will be packing the whole library with my other librarians jolene and richard and also with huimin.. hopefully we'll set everything properly so there won't be much problems in finding scores etc. good luck to us.
