*[[ back from the dead ]]*

yet another 2months has passed since that last update. i'm beginning to neglect my blog a lot, but really, who can blame me? i don't really have internet access in camp (unless i use my phone, which COSTS) and when the weekends come, blogging isn't exactly on the to-do list. this week tho, some part of me remembered i had a blog and when i saw the date of that last post, here i am. ok chris enough excuses for now yea?

life in camp has somewhat become slacker in some sense, especially after that final field camp which was an exam of sorts for the battalion, and we "passed" apparently, which in effect, makes us operational ready. and so, with the end of that test we started a month of being operational. this means we're expected to rush back to camp if we recieve a phone call. so i'm hoping i don't get any of such phone calls these 2 weeks. thankfully its only for a month so i'm keeping my fingers crossed my weekends don't get interrupted by surprise phone calls.
monday's gonna be quite a day. the whole battalion is going to the beach for games and stuff, so i can envision a beach FULL of guys. ugh. oh well.

went back to nyp band last week to check out my jrs as well as the freshies. as usual, large turnout, which will inevitably be halved as time goes when they realise how demanding it really can be. i can only hope more will stay this time, esp since there're overseas trips these next 2 years, of which only one i can aim for, which is the one next year after my ORD. it was also the 1st time i got to see the new conductor, mr. leonard tan, who seemed pretty nice. i'm still looking forward to laoshi coming back to conduct the alumni tho! as well as ensemble practices before that! really missed my jrs a lot..
